Graduate Fashion Week winners revealed


Graduate Style Week, which was based in 1991 by the Graduate Style Basis, awarded prizes for every day, in addition to the “Better of GFW” Bronze, Silver and Gold awards, gained by three candidates from throughout the week.

Manchester Metropolitan College’s Sarah Ajayi was awarded the Gold Award by designer Julien Macdonald for her “Queens of the Market” assortment, which referenced the “energy, presence and beauty of African market girls”.

Lee Wa Tan from the College for the Artistic Arts, Epsom, was offered the Silver Award for a group combining tartan with polka dots.

Scarlet Taylor from Nottingham Trent College took residence the Bronze Award.

Graduate Style Week is offered by Debenhams and can also be sponsored by a number of trend manufacturers and retailers together with Asos, Uniqlo and Subsequent.
