FENTY and PUMA have simply unveiled their newest collaboration, drawing inspiration from the whimsical world of the Smurfs. The gathering celebrates Rihanna’s upcoming position as Smurfette within the new Smurfs movie, set to launch on July 18 — mixing her fashion-forward sensibilities with the beloved blue universe. The result’s a playful but fashionable capsule that brings animated nostalgia to the world of streetwear.
The capsule contains six new attire objects — two of that are matching units — that mix streetwear aesthetics with animated nostalgia. A standout from the gathering is the knit sweater, that includes Smurfette’s iconic mushroom-shaped home entrance and middle. Rendered in a relaxed silhouette, the sweater fuses whimsical graphics with trendy streetwear enchantment. It’s paired with knitted sweatpants in the identical mustard yellow base, accented by pastel pink and blue particulars for a cohesive and colourful look.
No Fenty x PUMA launch is full and not using a standout sneaker and this drop delivers with the Avanti reimagined in a “Slate Sky” colorway. The sneaker encompasses a powder blue denim higher with darker denim overlays that runs alongside the edges and heel. A daring purple jaguar emblem with white polka dots — paying homage to a mushroom — is stamped on the heel tab, framed by white embroidered stitching. A fold-over tongue showcases the FENTY x PUMA emblem, whereas a gold embroidered FENTY emblem sits subtly beneath. Every pair features a removable silver Smurfette attraction — a collectible contact that ties the whole theme collectively. The sneakers arrive in a customized field styled after Smurfette’s mushroom dwelling, full with Smurf-themed tissue wrap showcasing their Parisian escapade.
