Valentino is making ready to open L’Atelier Sonore, a bespoke listening room with a state-of-the-art sound system inside its Madison Avenue boutique in New York Metropolis, on Could 15.
Made in collaboration with Italian cultural collective Terraforma, the intimate house is made for “deep listening and quiet contemplation, the place the soundscapes curated by Terraforma and particularly crafted by sound designer Giorgio Di Salvo foster a delicate but profound reference to the world,” based on the model.
Architect Franceso Lupia designed the house with three principal parts in thoughts: “a bespoke sound system, a handcrafted multifunctional listening console impressed by conventional cabinet-making, and modular seating with velvet cushions.” All three parts are sheathed in intricately veneered woods, with surfaces that intend to evoke the identical sentiment as an “avant-garde” listening salon.
