In honor of Kaikado’s a hundred and fiftieth anniversary, ERG Media has unveiled a brand new e-book chronicling the legacy of the enduring Kyoto-based tea caddy maker. Titled Kaikado, the publication gives a uncommon glimpse into the atelier’s meticulous craftsmanship, handed down via six generations.

The 290-page hardcover e-book is a bilingual exploration of Kaikado’s heritage, advised via unique pictures and the voices of the artisans themselves. Offered in each English and Japanese, Kaikado invitations readers into the model’s Kyoto workshop, spotlighting the instruments, methods and timeless philosophy behind the world’s most revered chazutsu (tea caddies).

Designed with the identical reverence for materials and element that defines Kaikado’s work, the e-book is printed on two premium paper shares and options metallic inks to echo the copper, brass and tin utilized in Kaikado’s signature items.
