
WHAAM! gallery has unveiled Turnover, the primary US solo exhibition by Japan-based artist ancco. Showcasing a brand new sequence of ceramic sculptures inside an immersive set up, Turnover delves into themes of time, transformation and resilience, weaving collectively private and societal cycles into an introspective physique of labor.
Rooted in her lived experiences, ancco’s work is formed by her battle with atopic eczema. She explores the accelerated tempo of decay, whether or not within the physique or in society and the way it influences her inventive course of.
