The Newport Jazz Competition has introduced the lineup for its 2025 version. The Roots, De La Soul, Janelle Monáe, Jorja Smith, Esperanza Spalding, Terence Blanchard, and plenty of others will carry out on the competition’s longtime residence at Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island. The competition will even host units from Raye, Jacob Collier, Preservation Corridor Jazz Band, Willow, and a lot of ensemble performances, comparable to one from Bela Fleck, Edmar Castañeda, and Antonio Sanchez Trio.
The 2024 Newport Jazz Competition featured units by André 3000, Kamasi Washington, Laufey, Elvis Costello, Brittany Howard, Nile Rodgers & Stylish, Meshell Ndegeocello, Makaya McCraven, and plenty of extra.
