At this time, British rapper Stormzy introduced #Merky Movies, the newest extension to a rising inventive empire he has amassed beneath his #Merky imprint. The award-winning artist can also be set to star in its very first launch, Large Man, a short-film that may see the grime famous person tackle his first lead appearing position.
#Merky Movies joins a roster that features #Merky Books, #Merky Basis and #Merky FC – ventures which have stored Stormzy, aka Large Mike, busy outdoors of music. Directed by Oscar winner Aneil Karia, Large Man was shot completely on iPhone 16 Professional and sees Stormzy star as Tenzman, its lead character who’s described as being a former rap star “navigating a stressed and unsure chapter of his life.”
“Music is my old flame, however movie is my second,” says Stormzy, including that “#Merky Movies is one thing I’ve been dreaming about for ages.” He describes his newest enterprise as “an area for highly effective British tales and a strong residence for contemporary, surprising artwork” and says it’s “a pure subsequent step for every little thing we do at #Merky – sharing our tales, spotlighting vital voices and making room for individuals who need to be seen and heard.”
