Snoop Dogg ‘Altar Call’ Gospel Album Info

After teaming up with Dr. Dre on his final album, Missionary, Snoop Dogg returns with a brand new venture — this time getting into the world of gospel. Titled Altar Name, the 21-track album is ready to reach through Dying Row Information as a deeply private tribute to his late mom, Beverly Tate, who handed away in 2021. The discharge date carries particular significance, touchdown on what would have been Beverly Tate’s birthday. The album art work includes a photograph of her, additional underscoring the venture’s emotional depth.

In a current interview with Okayplayer, Snoop mirrored on his mom’s lasting influence: “The spirit of my mom will ceaselessly stay inside me. This album is a mirrored image of what she has taught me — to make use of my voice and my platform to unfold love and heal the world. Simply one other chapter out of the Bible of Love.”

The album boasts a star-studded and spiritually rooted lineup of collaborators, together with Jamie Foxx, Robert Glasper, Denaun Porter, Jazze Pha, Charlie Bereal, Jane Handcock, October London and the Dying Row Mass Choir. The lead single, a heartfelt ballad titled “Mom I Miss You,” initially by John P. Kee, is ready to drop this Friday, April 18.

The Full Altar Name album is ready to drop on April 27.
