Pusha T took a second to talk on Drake‘s lawsuit in opposition to Common Music Group (UMG), stating that it “cheapens” the artwork of rap beefs.
Chatting with GQ for the brand new Clipse report, he revealed that they’ve a Kendrick Lamar characteristic that nearly didn’t make the minimize. Push revealed that UMG (Def Jam‘s dad or mum label) wished him to take the track off Let God Kind Em Out after he refused to censor Dot’s verse. “And so, after a month of not doing it, Steve Gawley, the lawyer over there was like, ‘We’ll, simply drop the Clipse,” he continued. “I don’t charge him no extra,” he continued. “The suing factor is greater than some rap sh*t. I simply don’t charge you. Rattling, it’s prefer it simply sort of cheapens the artwork of it as soon as we gotta have actual questions on suing and litigation. Like, what? For this?”
Regardless, Push clarified that he’ll solely take part in his and Drake’s rap beef if he “felt prefer it.” He defined, “I believe after all the things that had been achieved, I don’t suppose there was ever something subliminal to be stated ever once more in life.
