StudioPROBA Brings Maximalist Magic to HOKA’s Iconic Sneakers

Proba started the design course of by asking herself what emotion she needed the sneakers to spark. “I all the time start with the sensation I wish to evoke – pleasure, power, and motion – and the way that may stay on one thing as private and purposeful as a shoe,” she displays. She mocked up patterns on paper and digitally, embracing the problem of designing for a 3D object that strikes. Hidden shapes and natural kinds are tucked into curves and creases, revealing themselves because the sneaker strikes to life. “Identical to my bigger works, the magic is within the particulars.”

The limited-edition collab spans three HOKA kinds: the Speedgoat 6, Ora Primo, and Kawana Mid. A youth model of the Speedgoat 6 means even the littlest sneakerheads can be a part of the enjoyable. And Proba hopes they do. “I really like that these sneakers will accumulate mud, mud, and tales,” she says. “They’re made to be worn and altered by the world – like a portray that retains evolving.”
