Dubbed a “Ray-Naissance” in honor of founder Ray Kroc, the redesign marks 50 years of McDonald’s in Hong Kong and 70 years since Kroc opened his first U.S. restaurant.
Often called one of many busiest McDonald’s places globally, the Admiralty outpost has been reworked into an 833-square-meter flagship powered by “Loco-Movement,” a central 22-meter-long digital set up that shifts in lighting, shade and animation to match the restaurant’s vitality all through the day. Animated McDonaldland characters and responsive design carry the house to life, mixing playful branding with glossy modernity.
