TOILETPAPER and Fotografiska Announce Berlin Exhibition

Annoyed by the rigidity of the artwork world, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari got down to carve their very own nook of tradition – a house for a shared love of the absurd, edgy, surreal and provocative. And in 2010, TOILETPAPER was born.

Now, the Italian artwork duo is heading to Germany to unveil a brand new exhibition at Fotografiska Berlin. Aptly-titled ToiletFotoPaperGrafiska, the present takes a daring step past the printed web page and into immersive installations and high-saturated environments that revel within the cult publication’s knack for darkish satire, popular culture and acidic social commentary.

Guests are invited to step into the “curated chaos” of TOILETPAPER, taking the type of swimming swimming pools overflowing with pretend bananas or a enjoyable home maze of floor-to-ceiling prints. It’s much less about decoding the message and extra about surrendering to the unusual, unforgettable journey.

“It’s like being invited to the very best occasion of your life, the place everyone seems to be wildly intoxicated and also you’re the one sober individual within the room,” the co-founders described.

ToiletFotoPaperGrafiska might be on view from Might 10 by means of August 31, 2025.
