
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled PROTOTYPE, an exhibition exploring the intersection of artwork and innovation at Studio Odeonsplatz in Munich from January 25 to March 22, 2025. Organized by the Mercedes-Benz Artwork Assortment and curator Christopher Dake-Outhet, the exhibition showcases six worldwide modern artists who problem the idea of the prototype via each bodily and digital mediums.
Among the many featured artists, Simon Denny blends blockchain know-how with hybrid work impressed by Mercedes-Benz idea automobiles, whereas Salomé Chatriot integrates natural parts with digital renderings of her breath. Paul Seidler’s work examines different time methods and Sarah Pal merges digital safety with automotive entry via a Mercedes-Benz Good Key. In the meantime, Theo Triantafyllidis presents a multiplayer recreation that reimagines digital interplay and Hurt van den Dorpel’s blockchain-based assortment displays the illusionary movement of spoked wheels.
The exhibition can be complemented by a collection of interactive occasions, together with a panel dialogue on the position of prototypes in artwork and trade (February 14), a curator-led tour (February 15) and an artist-led workshop on digital identification (March 1).
