Designed by Bangkok-based design and architectural agency, Unknown Floor Studio, Curvy Eating is a café tucked away in Bangkok’s Soi Srinakarin – Rom Klao 19. Impressed by the flowers that naturally develop on-site, the café artfully balances openness and enclosure, making a dialog between nature and structure.
Boasting a novel architectural construction, this cute little spot is described by its designers as “a blooming flower” amid town’s industrial panorama — with its façade fairly actually resembling a floral kind. The design simplifies a flower’s radial symmetry into a geometrical language, increasing from a singular level and evolving right into a structured but fluid architectural kind, with pure curves refined into rhythmic sunburst strains and radial formations.
The outer boundary follows a squared framework, creating a way of definition throughout the open panorama. In distinction, the café’s subtractive design strategy carves out areas to outline motion, with pathways that intertwine with inexperienced pockets, permitting structure and nature to coexist seamlessly.
