To mark a century because the groundbreaking Leica I, Leica has unveiled the M11-D 100 Years of Leica Anniversary Set, an unique launch restricted to 101 units. Mixing fashionable engineering with classic design, the M11-D pays homage to the unique 1925 digicam with a high-gloss black lacquered brass prime plate, nickel-colored controls and a minimal exterior free from branding. The centerpiece is paired with two particular lenses: a reissued Leitz Anastigmat-M 50 f/3.5, mirroring the unique collapsible optic, and a customized Summilux-M 50 f/1.4 ASPH., each completed in anodized nickel tones with retro design cues.
Every numbered set is packaged in a premium black lacquered wood field with cream-white microvelour lining and contains period-inspired leather-based equipment and a certificates of authenticity. Notably, the millionth Leica M-Digicam ever produced — serial quantity 6000000 — is a part of this launch, engraved as no. 000, making it a historic milestone for collectors.
